Embark Completes Coast to Coast Test Run of Self-Driving Truck
Could self driving trucks may be the future of the trucking industry? Embark just completed a Coast to Coast Test Run of a Self-Driving Truck.
A modified Peterbilt tractor traveled 2,400 miles over five days on Interstate 10 across the southern United States from Los Angeles to Jacksonville, Fla. The company has hailed the run as the first coast-to-coast run with an automated truck. A driver remained behind the wheel for safety in case they were needed. The self driving truck could become a game changer in the trucking industry and help fight fatigue and make long hauls easier for drivers.
